Job Role Summary

ExxonMobil  is seeking a certified physician to fill its Occupational Health Manager position in Beaumont, Texas. The physician will oversee and support clinical and industrial hygiene programs and activities at the ExxonMobils Beaumont complex and will be responsible for developing, administering and delivering clinical systems and services to the business line.

Job Role Responsibilities

  • Supervisory role for management of clinic operations
  • Provide clinical guidance of nursing staff
  • Perform Medical surveillance examinations
  • Diagnose, manage and treat work-related medical conditions.
  • Conducts clinical assessments to determine fitness for work
  • Disability Case Management of illnesses and injuries
  • Provision of emergency treatment for injury and illness as needed
  • Communication and interface with business line management, business line representatives on occupational health issues and services
  • Medical supervision of Medical First Responder Team
  • In conjunction with the Americas Industrial Hygiene Manager, oversee industrial hygiene programs designed to assess and mitigate occupational exposure risks           

Required Education, Training, and Licensure

  • Medical Degree (MD, DO) required
  • Relevant Masters degree (i.e., MPH) desirable
  • Board certification, or eligibility in Occupational Medicine (preferred) or another relevant medical specialty
  • Texas Medical Licensure required
  • Prescriptive authority, DEA certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Occupational Medicine
  • Demonstrated leadership, management experience
  • Familiar with electronic medical record systems, information technology
  • Familiarity with OSHA recordkeeping rules
